Pilgrimages in India: Marici Prabhu and Sarva-sakti Mataji have been organising these tours with smaller groups of devotees since 1989. After the participants swelled to over a hundred the tour was renamed to "safari". Besides the opportunity to visit holy places, each safari gives a wonderful chance to take part in and develop a taste for preaching. These pilgrimages in the mood of harinama-sankirtana followed the route tread by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu when He travelled across Bharata-varsha. The intensity and sweetness of it all was greatly enhanced by the association of many devotees from all over the world, which everyone enjoyed for three full weeks. Many devotees made life-long friends, and some even met their marriage partners.
